JONESBORO, AR | January 16, 2017 :: Haag Brown is excited to announce the arrival of an additional Burger King in Jonesboro. The new development will rest on the former Shell gas station site at the corner of Red Wolf Boulevard and Phillips Drive, adjacent to Starks Auto Plaza and Days Inn of Jonesboro.
Midamerica Hotels Corporation, a Burger King franchise ownership group out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, purchased the property on January 9th from Lone Star Company, Inc., a Jonesboro based company which owns and operates gasoline service stations. Haag Brown Commercial Broker, Joshua Brown represented the seller in this transaction while HBC Agent, Zac Qualls represented both parties.
Diane Drury of Midamerica Hotels Corporation is excited about opening their fourth Burger King location on the southern end of Jonesboro. “This site was our number one choice and we are pleased to have come to an agreement with Mr. Heringer. Zac Qualls was a delight to work with throughout the course of this transaction. He was always on top of any issues, always available and got along great with all the people in our network.”
The site’s location just off of the Interstate 555 bypass, on the last available signalized corner along Jonesboro’s main retail corridor makes it an ideal spot for a fast food restaurant. The restaurant will have exposure to 40,500 cars per day and easy access from both Red Wolf and Phillips Drive.
“The Red Wolf / Phillips intersection is the gateway from the interstate to our main retail thoroughfare,” said Haag Brown Commercial Principal, Joshua Brown. “In any market, this is an important and strategic location. Burger King was aggressive enough to make the re-development of the NW corner happen. It is a “re-development” that will visually enhance the entry into Jonesboro’s retail district.”
Al Heringer of Lone Star Company, Inc. was extremely pleased with the results Zac was able to procure. “It has been an absolute pleasure working with Zac during this process and I look forward to completing more deals with him and Haag Brown Commercial in the future.”
“I have enjoyed getting to know both Mr. Al Heringer and Ms. Diane Drury in connection with this amazing project,” said Zac Qualls. “We all started this process nearly seven months ago and to see it across the finish line is very rewarding for everyone involved. Burger King will revitalize this dark corner of Red Wolf Boulevard and be a great addition to the city of Jonesboro.”
Construction is set for the 1st Quarter of 2017 with an estimated summer 2017 opening.
