Haag Brown Commercial is excited to announce that Fuji’s Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar, an award winning restaurant which serves fresh, traditional Oriental cuisine, will be opening in their new location within the Highlands Shopping Center this week. The restaurant will be situated directly behind their former space at the center’s western end-cap along Highland Drive.
The Highlands Shopping Center sits on 7 acres at the intersection of Highland Drive and Red Wolf Boulevard and has been a landmark in Jonesboro’s retail market for decades. Over the past several months, the center has undergone extensive renovations, which are nearing completion.
Fuji’s Japanese Steak House is one of the most popular restaurants in Northeast Arkansas, which is why expansion was mandatory. The restaurant not only added more seating but now features 10 hibachi grills, 2 of which are in a private dining room that can accommodate up to 20 people, an expanded sushi bar, and an extravagant public dining area.
“Fuji’s has been one of our favorite restaurants for the past decade,” said Haag Brown Commercial Principal, Joshua Brown. “I can’t wait until people see how amazing their new location is. Wow! It is the coolest interior in all of Jonesboro and certainly has an “awe” effect.”
Fuji’s owners Ricky & Michelle Guo are excited about how the improvements will enhance their patrons’ dining experience. “We have been operating the Fuji’s in Jonesboro for the past 13 years and we are so thankful for our loyal customers. We are honored to be able to give them a new Fuji’s with the old taste.”
Zac Qualls of Haag Brown Commercial manages the property for G & P Development, LLC and has overseen its redevelopment. “Its been very exciting watching the new Fuji’s restaurant come together. It has been and will continue to be a great addition to the shopping center. As Josh mentioned, it is also one of my family’s favorite restaurants in Jonesboro! I am excited for Ricky and Michelle and cannot wait for the grand opening!”
U.S. Pizza Company will occupy the old Fuji’s Japanese Steak House space and renovations are expected to begin soon.
Opening Day for Fuji’s Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar is Friday, February 3rd at 11 am.
