HORN LAKE, MS | February 3, 2017 :: FFO Home continues to blaze a trail of opening stores in the southern United States and Haag Brown Commercial is excited to announce the company has finalized its first deal in the Memphis Metro area. The popular furniture store will occupy the former Office Max space in the Desoto Crossing shopping center just off of Interstate 55 and Goodman Road in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
FFO Home is a superior value furniture retailer who offers their customers top quality furniture and selection at a price 30-50% below their competitors. The company was founded over 30 years ago and keeps expanding with over 40 locations across multiple states. This is also the first FFO Home store in the state of Mississippi.
FFO Home President, Larry Zigerelli is optimistic about the additional opportunities this Desoto Crossing deal will create in Memphis and the surrounding region. “We are thrilled that Horn Lake will be the location of our first store in the Memphsi metro and we are focused on bringing more stores to the area in the near future.”
“It seems like the first deal in a new trade area is always the hardest,” said Haag Brown Commercial Principal, Joshua Brown. “I hope that’s the case because this one wasn’t bad at all. We had a great team in place. Getting this one done will allow us to be extremely active for FFO Home in this trade area in the coming months.”
With the city’s close proximity Memphis, Horn Lake has almost doubled in population since 2000. “The growth of this market over the past few years has been impressive. It was no question that FFO needed to be a part of it. We were just looking for the right deal and we found it!,” stated Haag Brown Commercial Principal Greg Haag.
Haag Brown Commercial worked closely with Parrish Taylor, Vice President of CBRE Retail services, who represented the shopping center’s owners, Westco Development #26 L.L.C., which will be re-configuring the space for FFO Home. “It speaks volumes to the strength of our market every time a new company comes to the Mid-South,” said Parrish. “We are glad to have FFO Home in Horn Lake and look forward to helping them grow in the region.”
The FFO Home store will utilize 23,500 square feet within the Destoto Crossing shopping center which is home to such national tenants as Target, Home Depot and Kroger. The retail center is located at the epicenter of the Goodman Road/I-55 regional retail corridor and has exposure to over 36,000 cars per day.
