A taco restaurant on a mission to end world hunger announced its planned expansion into the Tulsa market on Monday.
Tacos 4 Life expects to open at 10732 S. Memorial Drive in the middle of next year. The location will be the first in the state for the Arkansas-based restaurant.
“It is a special accomplishment for our team when we have the opportunity to bring our brand and mission to a new state,” said Austin Samuelson, co-founder of Tacos 4 Life.
“We are honored and blessed to continue spreading our meal-for-meal concept across the country. Tulsa will have the opportunity to change many children’s lives while enjoying some great food.”
Tacos 4 Life donates 22 cents to Feed My Starving Children for every taco, quesadilla, salad, nachos or rice bowl that is sold. The 22 cents is equivalent to the cost of one meal for a hungry child.
Since opening in 2014, Tacos 4 Life has raised enough money to provide 7 million meals.
“We anticipate the Tulsa store to be the first of many locations throughout Oklahoma,” said Joshua Brown, principal for Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate. “Our team worked closely with Tacos 4 Life to ensure that this location in Tulsa had everything the brand needs to succeed, and we are confident that this will lead to continued growth in Oklahoma.”
Tacos 4 Life has locations in Arkansas, Texas, North Carolina and Tennessee.
