Slim Chickens Coming to Highlands Center in Jonesboro

Haag Brown Commercial announced Tuesday that Arkansas-based restaurant Slim Chickens plans to open a new location at the Highlands Shopping Center in Jonesboro.

Slim Chickens will be at the Highland Drive entrance, just east of U.S. Pizza. It also joins Fuji’s and TJ’s Burgers at the center.

Two dilapidated buildings were torn down to make room for the 2,400-SF, free-standing building, which will be the second store built featuring the brand’s new modern design. Construction is set to begin soon, with the restaurant expected to open in the fall.

The center sits on 7 acres at the intersection of Highland Drive and Red Wolf Boulevard. Over the past several months, it has undergone extensive renovations and added several new tenants.

“With easy access from both Red Wolf Boulevard and Highland Drive, additional seating, an outdoor patio and a more suitable drive thru, this new store will allow us to better serve our customers,” said Howard Martindale, Slim Chickens’ managing partner.
