Furniture Company to Move into Former Hastings Store

Fort Smith, Ark-based FFO Home has leased the vacant Hastings Store at North Valley Mills Drive and Bosque Boulevard in Waco and plans to open in December after remodeling the almost 35,000-square-foot building.

FFO Home, which was founded 30 years ago as Furniture Factory Outlet, has more than 75 stores in several states including three in Texas.

“We have toured this area of Texas several times over the past couple of years. Opening a store in Waco has been a high priority for FFO Home. The market is dynamic and we are excited about landing a great location for our client, said Joshua Brown of Haag Brown Commercial, which represented in the chain, working Pat Ferrar of Reid Peevey Commercial in Waco to secure the lease from Stewart/Belf Asset Management Co.,

The building has been vacant since October 2016 when the Waco Hastings store closed its doors after more than 20 years in business.

The closing Thursday came after the store’s owner, Hastings Entertainment, filed for bankruptcy in June 2016.
