HB Announces Highly Requested Development Coming to Brookland
Haag Brown Commercial is excited to announce plans for a 20 acre multi-use retail development in Brookland, the fastest growing city in the state of Arkansas. The Shops at Brookland Crossing will be located at the signalized intersection of Highway 49 North and Highway 760 (School Street), which is the epicenter of the city’s retail and daily traffic.
“I have personally been approached by several, including Mayor Jones, expressing the city’s growing retail needs. Currently, residents have to travel 6 miles to the nearest grocery store. This development is being created to address these rising needs. We are thrilled to be part of the solution.” Joshua Brown | Haag Brown Commercial Principal
Brookland has experienced massive growth over the past 5 years largely due to its unique location along Highway 49 North between Jonesboro and Paragould.
With the addition of the $500 MM NEA Baptist Medical Campus, the opening of ASU’s NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the construction of the Courtyard by Marriott, Jonesboro’s northern market has exploded.
On the other hand, the majority of all development money spent in Paragould is focused on its south side which can be seen in the completion of the US Hwy 412 bypass and the new Paragould Medical Park.
“The growth patterns of these two cities have created a perfect storm for Brookland. As a result, Brookland Public Schools is the most rapidly expanding school system in the state, several new housing developments are being constructed, and the Dollar General, Taco Bell and Sonic adjacent to this project are exceeding standard store sales.” Greg Haag | Haag Brown Commercial Principal
Project signs went up this week at the busy corner which has exposure to over 25,000 cars per day. There will be room for a big box retailer in the rear of the development and 3 to 5 out-pads, ideal for restaurants, banks, convenience stores, etc., lining the corner.
Space will be available as early as 2018.
