Popular Furniture Store Coming to Memphis
FFO Home continues to blaze a trail of opening stores in the southern United States and Haag Brown Commercial is excited to announce the company has finalized its first deal in Memphis. The popular furniture store will occupy the former Golfsmith space in the Centennial Place shopping center just off of Highway 385 on Winchester Road.
FFO Home is a superior value furniture retailer who offers their customers top quality furniture and selection at a price 30-50% below their competitors. The company was founded over 30 years ago and keeps expanding across multiple states. The Centennial Place store will be FFO Home’s 49th location.
FFO Home President, Larry Zigerelli is optimistic about the additional opportunities this Centennial Place deal will create in Memphis and the surrounding region. “We are thrilled that Centennial Place will be the location of our first store inside the Memphis city limits and we are focused on bringing more stores to the area in the near future.”
Haag Brown Commercial worked closely with Danny Buring of The Shopping Center Group and Michael Lightman of Michael Lightman Realty Company in Memphis who represented the shopping center’s owners, Centennial Place Co., which will be re-configuring the space for FFO Home.
“We have seen a lot of growth in the area since developing the Centennial Place center,” stated Michael Lightman, whose family developed the shopping center in 2005 and has witnessed first-hand the changes the market has experienced during that time.
With the area’s close proximity to both Germantown and Collierville, it’s population has been steadily increasing since 2000.
“The growth of this market over the past few years has been impressive. It was no question that FFO needed to be a part of it. We were just looking for the right deal and we found it,” stated Haag Brown Commercial Principal Greg Haag. “With the completion of this project, we will be looking for more opportunities in west Tennessee.”
Parrish Taylor, Vice President of CBRE Retail services, assisted Haag Brown Commercial in securing a lease for FFO Home in the Centennial Place center. “FFO Home’s new store is located in a strong retail trade area and the former Golfsmith space is perfect for the company’s needs,” said Parrish. “We’re happy to have been part of the great team that made this new location happen.”
The FFO Home store will utilize 21,090 square feet within the Centennial Place shopping center which is home to such national tenants as Best Buy, Burlington, and At Home. The retail center is located at the epicenter of the Highway 385/Winchester Road regional retail corridor, just west of the FedEx World Headquarters, and has exposure to over 124,000 cars per day.
