Haag Brown Commercial is excited to announce that Cinema Management Group has gained approval to complete the construction of its state-of-the-art University 16 Cinema at 5650 E. Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro, Arkansas adjacent to the Ridgecrest Health and Rehabilitation Facility.
Haag Brown Commercial assisted Cinema Management Group in the purchase of the 10.75 acre project years ago.
“I’ve asked the owner for updates on this project every month for years. This week, we received news it is finally happening! Getting a project of this type off the ground takes time, lots of time. The approval process in the theater business must be long and vigorous. With the lot sitting practically untouched for so long, a lot of people thought the project would never happen. Not only is it happening, it is going to be huge!” Joshua Brown | Haag Brown Commercial Principal
According to the information provided to Haag Brown by Cinema Management Group, this 16-screen theater will offer area patrons the finest movie-going experience possible, including the most dynamic screen presentation available today and an unparalleled sight and sound experience. The theater will also feature multiple ticket stations, as well as, an automated ticket machine to shorten ticket lines, reclining seats with increased leg room and improved accessibility, and the option to order food and drinks from the comfort and convenience of one’s recliner.
The theater will also feature multiple ticket stations, as well as, an automated ticket machine to shorten ticket lines, luxurious high back rocker seats with increased leg room and improved accessibility, a full refreshment center with an expanded menu and a state-of-the-art video arcade.
With the addition of the $500 MM NEA Baptist Medical Campus, the opening of ASU’s NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the construction of the Courtyard by Marriott, Jonesboro’s northern market has exploded. However, the University 16 Cinema will be the first entertainment destination retail project in the dynamic market.
“In the last 5 years, we have completed over 20 projects along Highway 49 north between Hilltop and the Farville Curve. This project is exactly what we’ve been needing to attract and secure some restaurants and retailers that have been reluctant to commit to the market. We have several properties available surrounding this development and we expect more businesses to move to the area in the near future.” Joshua Brown | Haag Brown Commercial Principal
Cinema Management Group is excited to serve the people in this growing area, as well as, those in Paragould and the surrounding counties. Construction is set to begin immediately with a scheduled opening in May of 2019.
