[Brookland, Ark. April 7, 2025] – Haag Brown Commercial is excited to announce a huge new development through the successful closing of a 5.32-acre commercial site along Highway 49 in Brookland, Arkansas. This high-visibility property, located adjacent to Taco Bell and Jordan’s Kwik Stop, was purchased by local entrepreneur Jason Gazaway from a long-time Haag Brown portfolio client.
Gazaway, in partnership with Ivey Herren, Jr., plans to develop the site into a vibrant retail center that will contribute to Brookland’s growing commercial presence. The development will include Herren Tire Service’s third location and bring national chain Domino’s Pizza into the Brookland market for the first time. Plans also include space for a drive-thru coffee shop and additional quick-service restaurant and retail opportunities.

Brookland’s population has grown over 12% since 2020¹, with annual growth currently outpacing much of the region. Positioned strategically between Jonesboro and Paragould, Brookland is attracting commuters, families, and retailers alike. Recent investments along Hwy 49 — including the $400 million NEA Baptist Healthcare campus and the Central Baptist Church – Paragould Campus — have fueled retail demand and brought national brands like McDonald’s, Harps, and Dollar Tree to the market.
With enrollment climbing, the Brookland School District broke ground on a new intermediate school earlier this month. New housing developments are also underway, stretching the city’s borders as more residents call Brookland home.
This 5.32-acre project is the latest sign that Brookland’s growth is here to stay. With national brands joining trusted local businesses, the community is quickly becoming a top destination for retail, medical, and office expansion in Northeast Arkansas.
