Haag Brown is excited to announce the arrival of an additional Burger King in Conway. Sitting on a 1.02 tract of land previously owned by Salter Acquisition, LLC, the new development will rest at the corner of Dave Ward Drive and Moix Boulevard. The new Burger King location will be adjacent to Andy’s Frozen Custard positioned directly across from the University of Central Arkansas campus.
Haag Brown Development purchased the property on February 17th from Salter Acquisition. Burger King is one of many new projects that will be constructed on Dave Ward between Andy’s and First Security Bank. With high traffic counts of 31,000 cars per day, the area of Dave Ward Avenue offers high potential growth and an higher demand of retail development.
Haag Brown Principal, Joshua Brown, sees opportunity for development in Conway. “I have spent a considerable amount of time in Conway over the past several years and have always felt like there was a retail gap in this area of Dave Ward. Burger King is developing a great looking building here. The finished product will blend well with other restaurants of the commercial development in the area.” Greg Haag added, “We were directed to this property by another client who went in another direction. After spending some time in the market and studying the site, Haag Brown decided to move forward with developing the property. We are happy to have reached an agreement with Burger King.” Dominic Flis, who is a principal for the Burger King Franchise, is excited about the Conway market.
Construction is set for the 2nd Quarter of 2016 with an estimated opening the 1st Quarter of 2017. Hank Kelley of Flake and Kelley Commercial represented Haag Brown Development in the acquisition while Chris Moses represented Burger King as their leasing agent in the transaction.
