Haag Brown is excited to announce the first stand-alone Starbucks in the well-established Jonesboro, Arkansas corridor of Southwest Drive. Centrally located and convenient to all residents, the well-known and highly favored coffee shop will be aesthetically placed just adjacent to Veterans Park. As one of the earliest developed retail roads in Jonesboro, Southwest Drive remains beloved of locals bursting with up-scale and locally-owned businesses and retail. Starbucks will surely be a welcomed addition.
A .61 acre tract of land, located between Taco Bell/KFC and McDonald’s and owned by Three Fowler Investments LLC and Fowler Foods Inc., was purchased by Haag Brown Development on Monday, February 29th. This will be the new Starbuck’s site. Evident of the regeneration of Southwest Drive, a new CVS is coming to the southwest corner of Highland and Southwest Drive. McDonalds will soon start the re-construction of their southeast corner location of the same intersection updating this essential Jonesboro corridor.
Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate and Development representative Josh Brown offered all credit to the Fowler family for the success of this project. “This deal was only possible through the willingness of the Fowler family and their desire to see the continued resurgence of Southwest Drive. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to work with Mr. Fowler and his son, Chris.” Greg confirmed Josh’s sentiments with his remarks concerning the new location. “We knew exactly where Starbucks needed to be with a Southwest Drive location, but we initially thought it to be an impossible task. It was only due to the Fowler family’s openness that we were able to deliver Starbucks with this location, which we feel like will do very well.”
Construction of the new Starbucks is set for May 1st with a scheduled opening of October 2016. Hank Kelley with Flake & Kelley represented Starbucks in the transaction.
