It was a fun exciting day celebrating the opening of store #100 with the Slim Chickens team and government leaders including Governor Asa Hutchinson. It was interesting the governor noted also being there for the 100th store opening for Wal-Mart not too long ago.
Slims was founded in Arkansas less than 20 years ago, so it is fitting that its 100th store be located in the heart of the state. Franchisees from all over the country joined the celebration.
The 100th Slims is a Haag Brown Development located at 16105 Chenal Parkway. West Little Rock is booming with growth so it is not hard to see why Slim Chickens would want be here. “We wanted to add value and improve the vibe of our real estate with the development of our outparcel. The shopping center is one of the best locations in Arkansas and the Kroger Marketplace Shopping Center is the epicenter of the activity. ” Joshua Brown | Haag Brown Commercial Principal
HB is excited about helping Slims expand in 2020 and beyond. Slim Chickens Executives want to open 600 locations in less than 10 years. HB is eager to help them reach that goal. Over the course of the last year, Haag Brown successfully brought the first free-standing Slim Chickens to Jonesboro, secured this highly visible location in Little Rock and are presently evaluating several opportunities in multiple states.
HB has loved Slims since the beginning. “We have been involved with Slim Chickens for a long time. Ever since I frequented one of the original locations in Conway, I wanted to assist the growing company with expansion into other markets. We love growing Arkansas brands.” Joshua Brown | Haag Brown Commercial Principal We’d like to congratulate Tom Gordon and Greg Smart for reaching this restaurant industry milestone and thank them for letting HB be a part of it.
Thank you to Stonebridge Construction for building a beautiful store on time, which was no easy feat due to having to build in a busy parking lot. Below is a time lapse video of construction, which turned out really cool!
