The Whimsy Cookie Company is Coming to Little Rock, Arkansas
Haag Brown Commercial is excited to make a double announcement! First, The Whimsy Cookie Company, a boutique bakery from Memphis known for their custom designed, hand decorated cookies and mouthwatering treats, is coming to Little Rock.
Whimsy is preparing to open in the remaining 2,000 square foot space in the strip center re-developed for Arkansas Dentistry & Braces on Bowman Road in Little Rock. This highly visible property sits just east of Highway 430 between Markham Street and Chenal Parkway and is adjacent to the new Whole Foods Development.
Secondly, this amazing investment property, now fully occupied by two elite tenants, has recently sold. Joshua Brown of Haag Brown Commercial represented the building’s seller, P&H Investments, LLC, in the transaction. Nathan Eller of Haag Brown Commercial represented the buyer, Bradford Ft. Smith, LLC.
“We have seen this property come full circle,” said Haag Brown Commercial Principal, Joshua Brown. “Less than two years ago, we put a development plan in place for P&H to re-develop the center for a dental group. Now, we have taken the resulting investment property, sold it, and made a profit for our clients. We are excited for the new owners and thankful we were able to be of value to the former owners, as well.”
“The Whimsy Cookie Company added significant value to this center and was a key factor in its quick disposition. We expect them to continue to add value wherever they go and look forward to assisting them in other markets.” Nathan Eller :: Haag Brown Commercial
Whimsy, founded in 2007 by Laurie Suriff and co-owned by Collins Tuohy in 2012, has an unimaginably wide client base ranging from little girls’ birthday parties to corporate accounts like FedEx, authors such as Emily Giffin and Maya Angelou, as well as, numerous celebrities including Tim McGraw, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Thompson and John Krasinski.
To meet their growing demand, The Whimsy Cookie Company is embarking on a path of rapid expansion, focusing on franchising stores in eight states including Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky and Missouri.
The Little Rock store, which plans to open at the end of January, will be the company’s second location. Haag Brown is currently looking at potential locations in several key markets across Arkansas.
