The Uptown in Jonesboro, AR

Joshua Brown was broker of record when the former Indian Mall property, one of the most talked-about and rumor-centered sites in Jonesboro’s history, sold to Memphis-based Highland Street Group. Haag Brown then led its redevelopment, landing Tommy’s Express Car Wash and Texas Roadhouse and brokering the sale of the 82,000 SF former Sears building and its 5.8 acres to Gamble Home and Gearhead Outfitters. After the 2020 tornado, the project gave displaced mall tenants like Buckle, Maurices and Elite Eyecare & Optical a new home. Elite’s owner, Dr. Cade Wilson, invested in his own 8,400 SF center at the development. National brands including Nothing Bundt Cakes and Hollywood Feed followed, and The Uptown, a $20 million to $25 million investment at the city’s top intersection, was completely leased by 2023.
